Sandstone from rivers, formed by grains of quartz kept together by siliceous cement. It is classified as a sublitharenite.
The main characteristic of Pinta sandstone is the contrast in colour. Tones range from white with orange veining to cream with red veining.
The quarries, located in the municipality of Regumiel de la Sierra, have 6 metre-high faces that guarantee a high volume of reserves.
